Propolis has attracted genuine scientific interest in oral care. Our job is to represent that research accurately, including everything it does not yet show about Gum Renew.
“Research on propolis” is not the same as “clinically proven Gum Renew.” We will never blur that line.
Where we stand
What is known, and what is not.
What existing studies tested
Existing oral-care studies evaluated other propolis products, mostly mouthwashes. One small study evaluated a different propolis chewing-gum formula. Neither tested Gum Renew, and no published study establishes that Gum Renew benefits gums or mitigates tobacco- or nicotine-related harm.
What remains unknown
The finished Gum Renew formula has not been clinically tested. Long-term daily safety of propolis soft chews and a product-specific gum benefit have not been established.
The evidence ladder
Each rung has to be earned.
A stage is marked complete only when a supporting document exists and can be shared.
01Ingredient identityConfirm what the propolis is, where it came from, and how it was processed.Planned
02Laboratory characterizationCharacterize composition against a meaningful written specification.Planned
03Finished-product stability and releaseVerify the finished soft chew performs consistently over its shelf life.Planned
04Safety and tolerabilityEvaluate tolerability of daily use of the finished formula.Planned
05Controlled human study on the final formulaThe only stage that could ever support a product-specific claim.Planned
Product validation
Our path to launch.
01Source and identity verificationDocument the origin of each propolis lot and confirm ingredient identity.Planned
02Purity and contaminant testingTest for relevant contaminants against a written specification.Planned
03Formula stability and release testingConfirm the finished chew is stable and consistent across production.Planned
04Finished-product human testingEvaluate the final formula before any efficacy claim is considered.Planned
Transparency
Lot testing.
No lot certificates are published yet. When production lots exist and testing is complete, results will be listed here with the documents that support them.
Inclusion of a source does not mean Gum Renew is proven, endorsed, approved, or authorized by the study authors, CDC, FDA, FTC, or any dental organization.
