For adults 21+

Nicotine, tobacco, and your gums.

Not every nicotine product carries the same level of risk, and newer products still have unanswered questions. Complete oral care and professional evaluation of new or persistent changes matter. Gum Renew is not a tobacco- or nicotine-risk-reduction product and is not a cessation product.

For adults 21+. If you do not use tobacco or nicotine, do not start.

What the sources say today.

Dip, chew, and traditional smokeless tobacco

Established evidence

Dip, chew, and snuff can cause gum disease, tooth decay, tooth loss, and white or gray oral patches called leukoplakia. Smokeless tobacco also causes cancers of the mouth, esophagus, and pancreas.

Nicotine pouches without tobacco leaf

Evidence still developing

Nicotine pouches rest against oral tissue. A 2024 systematic review found only three eligible studies involving 190 participants, all at high risk of bias. Placement-site mucosal changes, white lesions, dry mouth, and soreness were reported. These findings do not establish that nicotine pouches cause periodontitis or gum recession, and long-term evidence remains limited.

Vaping

Evidence still developing

FDA says e-cigarettes may negatively affect oral health and may promote periodontal disease. Long-term oral-health evidence is still developing.

Boundaries

What Gum Renew does not do.

Gum Renew does not prevent, repair, reverse, neutralize, or offset tobacco or nicotine harm. It is not nicotine replacement therapy and is not intended to help users quit. Do not use it to delay professional care.

Gum Renew has not been clinically tested in tobacco or nicotine users, and no clinical study has shown that propolis provides a special benefit for this population.

A practical daily routine.

  • Brush twice a day with fluoride toothpaste.
  • Clean between teeth daily.
  • Stay consistent with professional cleanings and checkups.
  • Ask a dental professional about irritation, bleeding, recession, sores, pain, or other changes.
  • If you are ready, use evidence-based quit support.

Know when to call a dentist

Bleeding, swelling, tenderness, gum recession, a sore that persists, pain when chewing, loose teeth, or a new change at the site of an oral pouch deserves professional evaluation. A wellness product should never delay care.

The most powerful step is quitting.

Gum Renew is not a quit aid. If you want to stop using tobacco or nicotine, evidence-based support can improve your chances. Free, confidential help is available.
